Our partnership allows us to offer your child an unforgettable summer camp experience that will positively impact their life. At Masterpiece Basketball Summer Camps, we carefully select our coaches based on their dedication to developing each player into a piece of art. Our lead instructor, Geoff Glasspell, is the founder of Masterpiece Basketball and an alumnus of the University of Regina Cougars, where he played from 1998-2002. Since then, he has worked as a teacher, athletic director, and coach at Regina Christian School. His basketball teams have been extremely successful, being ranked in the top 4 in the province 15 out of 16 years, and have won 5 of the last 8 Provincial 3A Championships (6 Overall). Coach Geoff bases his programs on the principles of commitment, integrity, and excellence, and Masterpiece Basketball has been founded on the same principles. We're thrilled to announce that our team of elite-level instructors now includes Atlee Simon, an accomplished athlete and coach who has won several provincial titles as a player and coach. Atlee played for the University of Regina Rams Football Club and was drafted by the Stampeders. He has also won the 5A City of Regina Championship and 5A Provincial Championship last year as a coach. His experience and expertise will be a valuable asset to our summer camps. Our Masterpiece Gr 1-2, 3-5 Afternoon Camps are designed to balance basketball skills acquisition and competition. Players will learn skills progressively based on a thoroughly developed curriculum by Coach Geoff and Coach Atlee. To promote relationship building, athletes will be placed on teams and work with a specific coach for the week. Our camps not only offer basketball training but also focus on character development. We challenge our players to work on their character, based on aspects of Masterpiece, such as respect for the art, commitment, integrity, and excellence. We believe that good character development is crucial for success on and off the court.
